It seems that the faster you move the more barrels that come at you. They do not just roll down each level and fall off the screen. These barrels can climb down the ladders. Be careful when you attempt to climb a ladder. Always be one step ahead of the barrel and sometimes the shorter ladder is best. The barrels like the ladders that are more accessible and are a longer climb up. Once Donkey Kong throws a barrel in your direction it either runs you over, falls into a trash can that is on fire, or it just keeps on rolling. It is like Pacman with fire and barrels instead of ghosts. When you jump over the barrels you earn points. It is usually 100 points. A little trick is that the barrel's path is 9 times out of 10 always the same. If you watch closely and have a good memory, it will be smooth sailing to saving the princess.
