The tank game, appropriately titled Tanks, is online for play at Arcadeonline.com. With this game you can play 2 human players or just you and a computer player. It is very cool and the tanks are really small in size.
First you get to select the type of terrain to play on. You choose from the desert, mountains, forest, or random. The controls on the tank game are simple to use. The 4 arrow keys are all used. Your left and right arrows move your tank in those two directions. To rotate your cannon you use the up and down arrows. The pgup and pgdn keys are for your fire power. To fire you press the space bar. There are only two letters keys used in the tank game. The "O" and the "W" change weapons.
The objective of the tank game is to blow up your opponent's tank before they destroy you. You can move as close as you want to them, but be advised that they are likely to hit you more easily if you are closer. If you hit any part of the terrain it destroys it. This is helpful when trying to lower your opponent down into the ground. It becomes harder to hit each other the lower you are. You can use the terrain to your advantage to camouflage yourself. The mountains are a tough terrain. You must break through the snow hills to reach your opponent. The forest terrain is pretty flat and it is easy to spot your opponent's tank, unless it is green. You do get to choose the color of your tank before you start blowing each other up. The desert terrain is kind of tricky. If your opponent blows up the sand around you, then you get stuck and can not aim properly.
After about 4 direct hits in the tank game, your tank blows up and your opponent wins or vice versa. The further up that you have your cannon the higher the cannon ball will fly, but it will not go very far. Aim your cannon close to the ground so that your shot will reach your opponent. When you change weapons, choose the volcano bomb. It destroys the most terrain in one hit and will blow up your rival player faster.
